American Shelf Semey is small, American-style library located within Abay's Library. It features an English language collection of American fiction and reference books on U.S. government, history, and culture. The shelf also provides access to information about the United States through Internet access, audio recordings, and American films and documentaries. An extensive collection of English teaching materials is also available for local students, teachers, and the general public. Besides, Semey American shelf offers U.S. speakers on a variety of topics and hosts a range of classes, clubs, and activities. Access to the American Shelf and its collections is FREE and open to all interested citizens of city.
