Currently, I'm helping set up a new Medical School in Sydney, Australia. I'm also a member of a Community Outreach Medical Emergency Team 'COMET' for homeless people. Longterm, a permanent move to Suva, Fiji Islands is on the cards. I have visited Fiji many times over the last few years working for the Fiji School of Medicine at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, trying to make a difference in this beautiful, but very economically disadvantaged, region of the world. At night, I'm into good food & Motown music ... and practising Latin-Afro-Caribbean percussion (Conga/Tumba/Djembe drums) & Jazz bass guitar - wistfully, hoping to join a band sometime! I'm no Vail Johnson virtuoso musical talent ... but have good pitch & timing, can definitely hold a beat & 'feel' soul/jazz/funk rhythms! ;-) I love the ballet ... great fan of George Balanchine and the NYC ballet company. I am a university lecturer in clinical anatomy & surgery. And a doctor with a special interest in sports medicine & advising against cosmetic surgery ... Err, see for example Joan Rivers ;-) Originally from Melbourne, Australia. now living in a fabulous old two-storey terrace house in Darlinghurst, Sydney (inner east). I agree with Judy Garland (or was it Rose Tremain?) who quipped: "life is not a dress rehearsal" ... and so passionately embrace the concept of living each day to the max! I'm into comedy, love, music, physical fitness & healthy living ... in any order or combination ... but can veg out, on the couch, in a pair of ugg boots, scooping at a tub of ice-cream, with the best of em!
