Mike Textbeak has not forgotten, and because of this, he stands as the most important DJ in the modern underground movement." -МИШКА Bloglin Mike Textbeak has a long history in dark electronic music with his releases on labels such as Tundra Dubs (San Francisco), Lasergun (Berlin), Post-Religion (London), Bleak (Vienna), Pale Noir (Madison), Vaatican Records (France), and many more. He was commissioned for mixing the Precarious DJ mix for Disaro Records, a mix for Ritual Chicago, the official Grim Harvest Halloween 2012 Mixtape for Мишка with actor Omar Doom (Inglorious Basterds), the XLVR mixtape for the clothing company NVR MND (for which NVR MND ran a limited run Textbeak shirt), the massive 5 hour 3 part COVENFVCK mix, mixes for Pulse Radio (UK), Zen Arcade on PBS (Australia), Clan Destine Records (UK), and AMDISCS label in the Czech Republic among many others. He is also the mixtape coordinator for Brooklyn based clothing label NVR MND which has featured mixes by DEATHFACE, Equitant, SINS, BLVCK CEILING, BLACK BLACK GOLD, and others. His band Bath (originally on Lestat's Jevan Records) was featured on the “Why Be Blake When You Can Be Bleak?” compilation on the Bleak label with industrial legends Coil, Attrition, Sleepchamber, Nocturnal Emissions, and Portion Control. Bath was also been featured on the first compilation for Artoffact Records, a compilation for Alternative Press Magazine, and in Outburn Magazine (when it was still an industrial mag) among many others. He has opened for and or shared the bill with artists as diverse as RITUALZ, Mascara, Larry Tee, Nitzer Ebb, Light Asylum, Test Department, Skin Town (Nick Turco of Zola Jesus), Meat Beat Manifesto, Designer Drugs, oOoOO, Bruxa, Nightmare Fortress, Clipping, Chemlab, Sheep on Drugs, The Damage Manual, Bile, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Lords of Acid, Lycia, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Bestial Mouths, Opale, Strange Powers, and The Legendary Pink Dots to name a few. He has remixed many artists including Tamara Sky (DJ/Model Lil Death LA) and ∆AIMON (Tundra/Artoffact), Bestial Mouths, Afraid featuring Jarboe from Swans, Architect aka Daniel Myer of Haujobb (Ant-Zen), Blush Response (Basic Unit Productions), 3 TEETH (Artoffact Records), and more.
