Since 1977, Mr. Stavros Charalambous was trading in retail business in the district of Paphos, Cyprus, with the well-known store “Christiana Gift Shop”, which was located on Makariou Avenue, in the center of Paphos. The store was merchandising toys, leather goods, lighting equipment, as well as souvenir items. In 1982, he expands his presence with a new store, called “Christiana 2 Gift Souvenir”, at 31,Poseidonos Av. The new store was one of the first souvenir shops in the area of Kato Paphos. He soon extends the business and opens a convenience store on Poseidonos Av. In 1989 he introduces a new shop named “Stazo Souvenir Shop”, at 54, Poseidonos Avenue, opposite Almyra Hotel. During the next year, all stores are incorporated in “Stazo Trading Ltd” company, founded in 1990,taking its name from Stavros and Zoi Charalambous his wife. In 1997 the company changes direction and commences trading in retail, clothing, being the only official representative of the well-known French brand “Lacoste” in the district of Paphos. In 2001, the already existing Lacoste Boutique is upgraded from a space of 50 sq.m. to 80 sq.m. In 2007, Lacoste boutique is renovated and expanded to a new store that boasts more than twice the interior space of the first store. The new boutique offers the completelines of Lacoste’s men, women and kids clothing and footwear. In 2008, Stazo Trading Company signed an agreement with Sarkk Company (Tommy Hilfiger Greece) and adds a new Tommy Hilfiger Boutique next to Lacoste Boutique, at 33, Poseidonos Avenue. Significant company growth was seen in 2013, when Stazo Trading entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with an Italian Fashion House named Sel Milano. Stazo Trading opened the first boutique of the firm in Cyprus, located in a trendy store at Poseidonos Avenue. The stores are under the sign name of Stazo Stores. In November of 2014, Stazo Trading Ltd unveils a 126 sq. m. store at Kings Avenue Mall in Paphos. This stylish space carries designs of Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger and G. Sel Milano labels under the sign name of Stazo Gallery. Due to very high popularity of American brand Tommy Hilfiger, company opened up a second store at Kings Avenue Mall in May of 2015, Tommy Hilfiger boutique on generous 160 sq. m. In this time Stazo Gallery goes through some changes and welcomes new stylish brands of Jack & Jones and Only from Bestseller, clothing and accessories company founded in Denmark in 1975. These brands provide affordable fashion for women, men and teenagers. On the success of these popular brands Stazo has again expanded and in April of 2016 opened its third store RISE at Kings Avenue Mall which carries Hilfiger Denim, Jack & Jones and Only. Another major step in the company’s growth will be a complete change of Stazo Gallery to an official Lacoste boutique in October of 2016. Stazo Trading Ltd currently offers to the market of Paphos a distinct combination of fashion and quality for multiple lifestyle occasions.
